EV Infrastructure Grant for Landlords (2025–2026)

If you’re a landlord or residential property owner looking to prepare your site for multiple EV chargepoints — either now or in future — the OZEV EV Infrastructure Grant for Landlords offers generous funding for the installation of supporting infrastructure.

You could receive up to £30,000 per building, covering groundwork such as cabling, distribution boards, and trenching — even if you only plan to install a few sockets initially.
This grant supports the wider building work needed to install multiple EV chargepoints, now or in future. It covers things like wiring, cabling, and posts. You can get 75% off the total cost, up to a maximum of £30,000 per building.
Grants for landlords to install electric vehicle chargepoints and supporting infrastructure in rental and leasehold properties.

What does the landlord grant offer?

75% of the cost of infrastructure works up to:
  1. £500 per parking space fitted with supporting infrastructure;
  2. £850 per parking space if one or more EV chargepoints are installed at the same time;
  3. Maximum £30,000 per building;
  4. Only available to landlords of residential rental properties;
  5. This grant can be combined with the EV Chargepoint Grant for Landlords, allowing you to claim for both the infrastructure work and the actual chargepoints installed.
What kind of work is included?

The grant supports infrastructure that enables future installations, such as:
  • Electrical supply upgrades
  • Cable runs, trenching, and conduits
  • Distribution boards and circuit protection
  • EV charger mounting posts
  • Physical layout works for future sockets
  • Any necessary groundwork, containment, or hardware for future chargers
Who can apply?

Eligible applicants include:
  • Private landlords;
  • Social housing providers;
  • Letting agents;
